The Truth About Silpada

I wrote the following preface:

The idea of \u200b\u200borganizing this event on the sins of the third millennium was born in August 2006, fruitful month for ideas. I first thought about the seven deadly sins, but, in light of all the evil in the world today, I now seemed laughable (gluttony, pride, lust, avarice, envy, sloth, anger). The gorge has become obesity in the two variants anorexia and bulimia. Sloth is now called depression, anger and domestic violence has become so little collective anger, envy is the daughter of consumerism and possession of goods that give a form of identity based not on having over being.
Lust is a continuous transition the language of vision to that of touch and where the naked body loses its specificity to attract if there is no artifice, construction, identification with the standards of beauty imposed, and where the male-female relationship has changed for the liberalization of procreation, abortion, transsexuality, homosexuality.

The purpose of this initiative is to invite reflection to exit dall'assuefazione, apathy, evil habit, and by the saturation of our receptivity to it, with a critical mind to analyze its various aspects and if possible find out if our even partial responsibility for most of it, to find with great ideas (that's why I invited artists) some form of change at the individual level first and then global. Do not resign, do not get used to violence, not stand by and watch helplessly as if everything is normal now.
The invitation began in September 2006 and was extended beyond the provincial borders, as well as having been published in the local press on the internet, for that reason they responded to writers, poets, photographers, painters from different regions of Italy, each carrying a personal interpretation of the "sin of the third millennium." This I was glad because I was afraid that having to describe evil, addiction, the inertia that pervades us, discouraging many to follow, not to make the search within themselves and the world of that dark side of that you no longer want to talk.
E 'is for me a great enrichment to note several ways in which the subject has been gutted, and as content, both as art forms. Looking for a possible synthesis

They responded to 80 artists, including writers, poets, painters, photographers, but the works are 89 because 9 of them presented either a text, an image, thus highlighting the need to explain with words the work of synthesis and implementation of a framework or means of photography.
sincerely thank all participants and those who helped me to realize this project, but still wonder that this work is disseminated as widely as possible and inspires reflection and participation beyond the borders of our region.
